Biography

Coach Jared Mathieus has been CrossFitting for several years and specializes in Introductory nutrition, mobility and CrossFit, showing people what works and what doesn’t work so they can use it to better reach their goals. “Before CrossFit, I followed traditional powerlifting/bodybuilding workouts,” he says. “After a few years in gyms where the only human communication I had was ‘are you using this?’ then quickly putting my headphones back in, I was burned out and stopped going.” Luckily, he discovered CrossFit in 2014 and hasn’t looked back since because of the energetic atmosphere. “You’d think everyone knows each other because that’s how you’re treated.”

When he first started CrossFit, he couldn’t do ANY of the workouts as prescribed, but the atmosphere was so much fun he kept going anyway. “It was fun because the members and coaches helped me go from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm,” he says. “Nobody cared what I could or couldn’t do. What mattered was that I was working hard, keeping an open mind to what’s possible, and enjoying the process of trying to get better. That honestly changed my lifestyle as a whole and I coach to help others do the same.”

Jared’s athletic background includes playing traditional sports as a kid (mainly baseball and football) and then getting into ‘extreme’ sports as a teen. “So, I did lots of skateboarding, BMX, and a few years of competitive motor-cross racing.” Today, outside of the gym, he enjoys golfing, cliff-jumping, softball, “stealing a friend’s dog to walk, reading, or anything else I can do outside!”

Coach Jared also is the owner of his own Nutrition Coaching company called, Simplifex. He uses his brand to teach people about their food habits.

Coach Jared is the founder of Simpleflex, which is another preferred provider of Nutrition Coaching at the gym. Coach Jared has his CF-L1 certification as well as his Precision Nutrition (PN-1) Certification.
