EVENT: Mountain Meltdown Obstacle Course Race

By: 0

The Icon Mountain Meltdown is coming to Wilmot Mountain July 13th!

We’ve done some pretty cool obstacle course races with HPCF… Last year we did the tough mudder and this year we were looking for something just a little different and, let’s be honest… a bit more challenging… This one came upon us!

They describe this as a 5k for CrossFitters! Each obstacle is a CrossFit WOD!

Let’s grab a buddy and get muddy! Or, since there wont be much mud, let’s get sweaty! Who’s in!

THE ORIGINAL 5K FOR CROSSFIT FREAKS

The 2019 Mountain Meltdown will probably be the best thing you do with your fitness outside the gym all Summer.

Now more than ever in our 6th year, we want you to come party with us! This is the original 5k for fitness freaks functional competition. This CrossFit Community event is an expansion of the movements learned and executed throughout the CrossFit Games Open, with the rigs, sound, production, and party that you’ve come to expect from us over the years.

This years courses will cover just over five kilometers of stairs and trails that athletes push, pedal, and run up and down. Local Ski Resorts and Mountain Facilities provide us the elevation gains upon which we will lovingly season with five or six “quick” and “simple” Classic CrossFit WODs. These delicious treats of pain will lovingly ruin your day… err… increase your pleasure response.

For 2019… you bet that the packs are back. Gnarly athletes carry an additional 20# of weight, tougher workouts, and compete for bragging rights in King and Queen of The Mountain. Oh, it’s going to be epic, but please know the entire day is still accessible for beginners with scaling options and divisions for Ladies, Men and 4 Person Teams. Call it “Couple Couples Therapy”. Bring your buddies, bring your kids and come throw down with us at the Mountain Meltdown.
