Accepting yourself, your body and your life is one thing. Appreciating it is something completely different!
We were not put on this earth to simply accept it and take up space, we are here for passion, experiences, and loving all that life has to offer.
Accepting vs. Appreciating
Accepting – In order to be healthy I have to cook for myself and meal prep.
Appreciating – I want the most for my health and wellness so I will feed myself good foods and have fun thinking of new things to eat.
It’s all about mindset, which is not easy to recognize or change. You should never settle for anything, but if you want to truly live a life you love then working on switching your thoughts from accepting to appreciating is a good place to start.
Stop diminishing your efforts, and remove the words “just” or “only” from your vocabulary because we want to celebrate you for just showing up!
If you go into a workout with a negative mindset or thinking that you can’t accomplish something, the chances are so much higher that you will not be able to accomplish it.
We’re all inspiring someone!
It doesn’t make it narcissistic to be proud of yourself and telling your community how great you’re doing in the gym.
Things you can do to help your mindset:
- Positive self talk before bed
- Write it down
- Say it out loud to someone else
