Favorite WOD/Metcon: Any Hero workout. They’re incredibly difficult, but always give me the extra push of motivation.
Favorite Lift: Squat, Deadlift…. Pretty much anything with a bar!
Favorite Cheat Meal: Pizza and TACOS
Athletic Background: SUPER competitive. If you keep score, I want to win. Football and Baseball in high school. As an adult, kickboxing and Juijitsu.
Hobbies/Interests outside of the gym: Travel, Dad stuff, Juijitsu, keeping my wife happy.
How long have you been CrossFitting?: 5 months
How long have you be a Harbor Park CrossFit Member? 5 months
How did you find CrossFit? A great friend (my Thunder Buddy) of mine left a career in Law Enforcement and decided to open a box. I thought she was crazy. But she and her super cool bearded husband succeeded beyond my wildest dreams and are killing it. I figured I would stop being mad at her and come try this CrossFit thing that changed her and her super cool husband’s life.
How has CrossFit changed your Life?: It’s really pushed me out of my comfort zone and forced me to try new things. I’m progressing rapidly towards goals. Scale-wise. Inches-wise and strength-wise
What is your biggest achievement so far, and what is your next big goal?: Having a great time and winning the HPCF strongman competition. 1000 pound club and pullups!
What is your favorite thing about Harbor Park CrossFit?: The incredible attitude that everyone brings to the gym. It’s supportive and encouraging.
Have any advice for new members?: Be patient. This stuff doesn’t happen overnight. There are a lot of very complex movements and it’s incredibly challenging to get it right. Trust the process and listen to your coaches. Results WILL come, keep working, keep a smile on your face and the sweat pouring down your back!
