What is CrossFit Kids?

Our CrossFit Kids emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.

Our CrossFit Kids program is meant to be BIG fun for all ages 6-12. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary lifestyles, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. Further, the needs of second graders and middle-schoolers differ only by degree and not kind; the program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids.

Ages 6-12

Current Program: 6 weeks in length, 3x/week
A new program starts up every 9 weeks

Current Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-6:45pm
Saturday 11:15am-12noon

FAQ:

What if my child is more advanced can they still join?
YES! If our Coaches feel as if your child is more advanced, then we with your permission, we can bump him or her to our adult classes

My child is 5 years old, can they still join?
Come talk to us! Most of the time, we can make exceptions if your child is more advanced and can comprehend classes and structure.

Will my child be subjected to heavy weights?
No. Although we may use weights from time to time, or goal with our CrossFit Kids program is to teach them good foundational movement patterns and that fitness is fun! This means lighter weights, lower intensity... Heavy weights aren't the goal of the kids program and can come later as they mature and jump into our normal CrossFit program.

My child can only make 1 class day/time work per week, do I need to purchase the entire program?
No. Although we offer an unlimited package, and each 6-week program has a total of 18 classes. We have 5 class and 10 class purchasing options. This way, you choose the classes you want/can come to!
